2008 Swim Team Board

A volunteer based Swim Team Parent Board exists to help coordinate a variety of swim team activities and special events. They include: selection of coaches, volunteer coordination, management of team funds and expenditures and organization of various special events offered each season. The Board also exists to promote effective and constructive communication between coaches, parents and club management and to help assure the team achieves its mission and goals.

Mission Statement

The Newport Hills Swim Team is dedicated to providing kids of all ages and swimming abilities the opportunity to have fun, improve their swimming skills and swim competitively in a positive and supportive environment.

Philosophy and Code of Conduct

We believe Midlakes Swim League was established to promote recreational based swimming with the following philosophies in mind:

1. Our team should provide a fun yet challenging environment that promotes good swimming technique and an appreciation for the sport of swimming
2. We should help swimmers establish goals that challenge their individual skill levels
3. Recognition of achievement is important at all levels (win, lose or draw)
4. We should always display good sportsmanship and treat others with respect
5. We can achieve success through team unity, good communication and hard work
6. We're proud of our team and we're willing to show it with great team spirit
