2010 Special Events

New Parent Meeting Thursday, May 27th
This meeting is an opportunity for parents new to our swim team to meet with the coaches and to ask questions. The meeting will be held in the banquet room at 6:00 pm.

Parent Meeting (Required) Thursday, May 27th
The parent meeting will be held at NHSTC on Thursday, May 27th from 7-8pm. This meeting gives parents the opportunity to meet the coaches and Swim Team Parent Board, learn about the roles of parents and swimmers during the season, and sign up for volunteer positions for summer season swim meets. There will also be a chance to ask questions and meet other parents. At least one parent per family must attend.

2010 Time Trials and Team Suit Purchase Day: Saturday, June 5th
Time Trials will be held from 9 AM to Noon. All team members must attend as the coaches use the Time Trials to divide the team into the "A" and "B" teams. From 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM, the team suit can be purchased from Sylvia's Swim Shop.

Kickoff Picnic Friday, June 11th
The Kickoff Picnic is a fun time to get to know other swim team families. It will be held at Newcastle Beach Park on June 11th @ 5:30pm. We will have some great games and prizes. Look for more information at the pool.

Team Pictures Friday, June 25th
Team Pictures will be taken at 9:30 AM. Please wear you team suit and T-shirt for the picture.

Pasta Feed and Swim Challenge Friday, July 9th
The pasta feed will be held Friday, July 9th at 5:00pm. To really prepare the swimmers for championships, the parents will challenge them to a very non-traditional and silly swim meet.

Awards Picnic Wednesday, July 28th
The annual Newport Hills Swim Team picnic will be held at the club on Wednesday, July 28th at 5:30pm. Awards will be given and all team members will be introduced. This final event of the season is lots of fun so everyone come!
