2011 Special Events

Summer Swim Team Sign-up Day Wednesday, May 11th
Summer Swim Team Sign-ups begin. 5-7 PM in the Banquet Room. All Summer Swim Team participants are encourage to make this sign-up day so that the Swim Board and Coaches can begin planing for the upcoming season. Sign-up forms are availabel online or at the front desk prior to Wed. May 11th so that you can have everying filled out prior to the sign-up date. If you cannot make this time, please drop off your form at the front desk starting Thursday morning May 12th. 2011 Summer Swim Team Form

New Parent Meeting Tuesday, May 17th
This meeting is an opportunity for parents new to our swim team to meet with the coaches and to ask questions. The meeting will be held in the banquet room at 6:00 pm.

Parent Meeting (Required) Tuesday, May 17th
The parent meeting will be held at NHSTC on Tuesday, May 17th from 7-8pm. This meeting gives parents the opportunity to meet the coaches and Swim Team Parent Board, learn about the roles of parents and swimmers during the season, and sign up for volunteer positions for summer season swim meets. There will also be a chance to ask questions and meet other parents. At least one parent per family must attend.

2011 Time Trials and Team Suit Purchase Day: Saturday, June 4th
Time Trials will be held from 9 AM to Noon. All team members must attend as the coaches use the Time Trials to divide the team into the "A" and "B" teams. From 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM, the team suit can be purchased from Sylvia's Swim Shop.

Kickoff Picnic Friday, June 10th
The Kickoff Picnic is a fun time to get to know other swim team families. It will be held at Newport Hills Swim and Tennis club on June 10th @ 5:30pm. We will have some great games and prizes. Look for more information at the pool.

Team Pictures Friday, June 24th
Team Pictures will be taken at 9:30 AM. Please wear you team suit and T-shirt for the picture.

Pasta Feed and Swim Challenge Friday, July 8th
The pasta feed will be held Friday, July 8th at 5:00pm. To really prepare the swimmers for championships, the parents will challenge them to a very non-traditional and silly swim meet.

Awards Picnic Wednesday, July 27th
The annual Newport Hills Swim Team picnic will be held at the club on Wednesday, July 27th at 5:30pm. Awards will be given and all team members will be introduced. This final event of the season is lots of fun so everyone come!
