Hi I’m Jada! I graduated from Newport High School and am attending Western Washington University. Growing up around the pool, I found my love for swimming and being in the water. As a competitive swimmer for over eight years, I enjoy sharing my experience to higher levels by teaching technique and the competitive aspect of the sport. I also love teaching younger swimmers who may be nervous of the water how to be safe and share the excitement of swimming! I have been teaching lessons for 3 years now and am also available to teach intro to synchronized swimming! With flexible availability, I look forward to continue teaching swimmers, both children and adults, to love the water as much as I do! (I am fully vaccinated.)
I will be available for lessons June 11th 2022! |
My name is Shaiya Fox, I am a student at Newport High School. Growing up in AZ meant I was swimming before I could walk. I love working with children, especially younger kids and watching them grow as they are excited to learn something new. I had an amazing teacher when I was learning to swim so I hope that I am able to help kids move forward and learn a skill that is very useful.

Hey I’m Caroline! I am currently a junior at Hazen High School. I learned how to swim through this program when I was a kid and have been competitively swimming for ten years now. I have also junior coached our summer swim team in the past. I am on my high schools varsity team and my favorite stroke is freestyle. I love teaching all stroke techniques and working on getting kids ready for higher levels like swim team. I enjoy working with kids of all ages and I really like to see the kids growing and working on new things so that they can show off all of their technique!

Howdy! I’m Cole Shultz, and I’ve been involved with swimming since before I could walk. Growing up in the neighborhood has meant I’ve spent countless on the pool deck here at Newport Hills, and I started working as a group lesson instructor and lifeguard in the summer of 2018 and haven’t stopped helping kids in the water since. I even had the privilege of being able to coach our swim team last summer and will be doing so again this season too!
I also have experience with both competitive club swimming for King Aquatic Club and varsity high school swimming for our hometown Newport Knights, which has given me a unique insight into how the sport works and the best ways to improve your stroke. I will be available for private lessons starting May 16th and am excited to work with your child! |

I go to school at Boise State University but will be home for the Summer. I am available to start teaching in early May! I'm looking forward to working with our swimmers so they can improve their skills and have fun doing it! I will be available for private lessons starting May 16th, 2022. |
Hi, I’m Ella! I currently go to Newport High School as a junior. I love swimming and being in the water. I competitively swam for six years and then switched to water polo about three years ago. I enjoy teaching higher levels and working on perfecting stroke, but I also love teaching young swimmers especially kids that are a little nervous in the water. I’m super excited to continue teaching during the school year and into the summer. I’m available most weekday afternoons as well as the weekends.

The opportunity to coach Midlakes Water Polo this year is a blessing. I started doing Midlakes swimming when I was 7 which quickly turned into club swimming until I was 12.
During those Summers I was introduced to Midlakes polo and loved the sport. I started doing year-round Water Polo when I was 13 and am now traveling to the junior Olympics to compete with fellow coach, Alex Rowland. I hope to inspire a new generation of polo players for the neighborhood and have some fun along the way! |
Hello! My name is Emily Vukmir. I have taught swimming lessons for over 20 years. I loved teaching swimming so much that I became a Montessori teacher. The most important things for me as a teacher are being patient and making sure the skills are being correctly taught and explained. For the last 6 years I have been teaching at a Montessori Kindergarten in Beijing, China. While in Beijing I was also teaching private swim lessons. The most rewarding aspect of teaching swim lessons for me is when a child can swim a little bit or does something new and excitedly tells me “I did it.”

Hi I’m Lauren! I will be a senior at Newport High School in the fall. I have always loved the water and swimming. Working at the club the past 4 years has really brought out my love of swimming and teaching. I’ve been teaching swim lessons since November 2019. I teach all skill levels from beginners to those who want to perfect their skills. I enjoy teaching because I remember how much I loved swim lessons as a kid, and want to give that same experience to new swimmers. I’m available most days through out the week just contact me to schedule a time :) I am also fully vaccinated!
