SHARK STUDY CAMP

We are eagerly looking forward to your child's time with us in Shark Study Camp.  This will be a brand new adventure at NHSTC as we work to try and support our community through the COVID Pandemic.

We are offering a great way to supplement your child's online learning here at NHSTC. Every weekday from 12 to 4 pm we have Shark Study Camp. The camp includes tutoring combined with swimming, tennis, recess and planned activities. These activities take place around your child’s scheduled online learning with their school. The groups are limited to 4 children per age group to insure effective social distancing and to allow for personal attention you won't find on-line.

Click HERE to register for specific days or a full two week session.

To best serve you and your family and ensure success we want to provide a short list of items your child will need each day at study club.

Each child should arrive with:
  • School laptop and case
  • Charging cord
  • Book for reading time
  • Water bottle
  • Swimsuit
  • Towel

We will provide an individual desk and chair, outlet access, WIFI, art supplies, snacks (for children without allergies), plus supervision and help with assignments.  The space will be managed like a classroom or children's library, with plenty of room and low noise level.

Tentative schedule:
  • Drop off 12:00 pm
  • Swim time 12:00 - 1:00 pm
  • Change and return to classroom 1:15 pm
  • School Assignments 1:20 - 1:50 pm
  • Check in/break 1:50 - 2:00 pm
  • Reading or School school work  2:15 - 2:30
  • Snack 2:30 - 2:45
  • Study time 2:45 - 3:15
  • Break time 3:15 - 4:00

This is a flexible schedule that will be adjusted to meet the needs of the kids in the group.

The goal is to ensure your child has time and support to complete their school work plus a place to swim, relax and play.  Please inform us if you have concerns or requests and we will work to accommodate your child as we are able.  We would also ask that you inform your child of the plan and expectations of them while they are at Shark Study Camp.
